The Albany Surf Life Saving Club contacted us to develop an online store to sell their merchandise online. This is an interesting case for an online store as the market is relatively small, but likely to be very loyal. Many of the advanced features of an e-commerce store were not needed, and branding had to be consistent with the existing club website.
Our solution was to push the simplicity as far as we could, making a website that is uncomplicated in design and layout and as simple a user experience as the WooCommerce e-commerce platform will allow. Simple for the user does not necessarily mean simple to develop and there were a few custom elements we introduced such as a customised shipping method and the ability to filter products by product type, but also gender & age.
